TENNIS ELBOW AND HOME REMEDIES
Tennis elbow is synonymous with pain in the upper part of the forearm, just below the elbow. In real tennis players the injury results from drooping the wrist on the backhand. It is a sign of bad technique. The same syndrome of pain and discomfort occurs to many other people perhaps by the same mechanism; but without the use of a tennis racquet.
The pain of tennis elbow is particularly difficult to relieve. Physiotherapy, appropriate weight lifting and steroid injections often suffer the same fate. They all fail to provide relief.
Home Remedies
Rest is the only guaranteed way to overcome the pain of a tennis elbow. If all painful movements are avoided, one day, some three or four months in the future the victim may wake up and find the pain is gone. If immobilization is not applied symptoms may grumble on for 6 to 18 months without the benefit of resolution. A golfer’s elbow produces pain on the bottom side of the forearm at the elbow. The same observations apply.
